You jump at it flailing and yelling while your friends are all laughing.
In a flash of glitz and glamour, you pull out an airhorn and scare it away.
You walk calmly forward, empty your candy sack and scoop the cat up...You'll save it for later. It might make a good familiar. or ingrediant...
You put your arms around your friends and smile. You suggest that maybe its a good cat, and simply needs some proper friends.
